2009 We live broadcasted a wedding through internet.

This was the year where everything fell into place. We had an abundance of birthday celebrations and long meals with different groups. Bahtiyar’s turkey, Polat’s Manisa kebab, a grill in the kitchen, Selçuk’s Thessaloniki Cuisine… after our Antakya and Mardin travels, here we shared what we ate and what we saw with the ones who couldn’t participate. Hestia hosted both Berlin-Istanbul neighborhood meeting party, and the opening party for the Assos Festival’s webpage. The most impressive and memorable meeting was the day of Şule and Ecmel’s wedding ceremony that was held at a room in American Hospital, which their friends and family attended from here with live internet broadcast. Aaaand the butterfly that is Zeynep Akar started fluttering among us this year… We arranged a cookie market for friends with kids, and ate the cookies ourselves!
